The “Best of BOMA, Westchester County Signature Award” is Westchester’s program specifically designed for members of Westchester BOMA. This program was designed to recognize excellence in a variety of categories for buildings, managers, and brokers that are outstanding in their specific field and as a means for BOMA to recognize the high standards expected in building operations, maintenance, construction, and deals.  This offers BOMA Westchester members the opportunity to nominate buildings or professionals that they feel have the qualities required to receive the distinction of the “Best of BOMA, Westchester County Signature Award”.  Getting this award will be a great marketing tool for all buildings. Imagine being able to announce that your building received the Best of BOMA Signature Award in any of these categories. These awards will be given at the Hall of Honor dinner, to be held on May 15 2025. The categories for 2025 are listed below. Descriptions and nomination criteria are on the nomination form.

Best Tenant Fit Out

Which new tenant fit out in 2024 represents the best workplace environment with architectural detail and a WOW factor? What new space did you see that has you looking at details like specialty lighting, employee comfort, technical improvements, use of colors, natural light, unique glass design, furniture systems and environmental comfort? Nominate the Tenant, Building, Contractor, and its Architect for this exciting award!

Best Management Team Which building in 2024 would you nominate for having the best management team? Which team provides exceptional oversite on the building’s daily operations and strategic planning for the building while providing great customer service to its tenants.

Requirements for consideration:  Letter of recommendation from two existing tenants and one from building ownership.

Curb Appeal/Common Areas

First Impressions do matter especially in Real Estate. What commercial office building has great curb appeal or common areas? Does the building have great landscaping, an updated façade, lobby, or common areas that are noticed upon your arrival to the building?

Industrial Building

Industrial properties encompass a type of real estate that companies use to distribute or store large quantities of goods. Which industrial property has a great strategic location, a robust structure including large loading docks, ample parking, and has LED lighting? Please submit your nominations for the Best Industrial Building of 2024.

Unsung Hero

Do you know someone who does an excellent job yet receives little or no recognition? The person makes a substantive yet unrecognized contribution and refrains from claiming too much in return for his/her efforts. BOMA Westchester is about to change that as this year’s Signature Award will recognize that individual in your organization whether it be an administrative assistant, engineer, porter, security guard, customer service representative, office support, etc.

Requirements for Unsung Hero consideration:

1. Letter of recommendation from Company’s Operating Officer or Building’s major tenant AND

2. Letter of recommendation from direct superior.
